Enhancement of Surface and Interface Properties of Low Carbon Steel by Hybrid ZnO and NiO Nanoparticles Reinforced Tin Coating

Tin matrix nanocomposite coatings containing ZnO and NiO nanoparticles, both individually combined, were deposited on low carbon steel substrates. The aim was to investigate the effect of reinforcement nanoparticles microstructural morphology thickness tin coatings, modification in interfacial layer between coating substrate, corrosion resistance substrate. Optical scanning electron microscopy employed for observation, while potentiostat-galvanostat utilized electrochemical investigation. It found that with significantly modified thickness, intermetallic surface resistance. Coatings through direct tinning process are considered be a simple low-cost route protecting metallic materials from corrosion, presence further increases steels.
